Support your local Delaware small business on Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is Nov. 24.

The ninth annual Small Business Saturday is Nov. 24, and it’s a great time to get out and support the locally owned stores, restaurants and coffee shops that make Delaware such a great place to live.

Since the first Small Business Saturday in 2010, consumers have spent an estimated $85 billion at independent retailers and restaurants nationwide on that day, which is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

One reason why small businesses are so crucial to the economy: for every $1 spent there, 67 cents stays in the community. That spending spurs an additional 50 cents in local economic activity.

Several Delaware cities and towns, including downtown Dover, will celebrate Small Business Saturday with various events.
