Lauren Swain joins DSB as new Sussex County Regional Business Manager

Sussex County native Lauren Swain is ready to help small businesses in the state’s southern region start, grow and succeed.

“It’s where I call home,” she said. “I want all of Sussex County to thrive, and I want to be a key partner in that.”

Swain joined the Division of Small Business as Regional Business Manager for Sussex County in early February and has hit the ground running – attending events and making contacts with business owners.

She comes to the Division of Small Business after working in the Delaware General Assembly as a legislative assistant for Sen. Colin Bonini and Sen. Dave Wilson.

“I look forward to helping entrepreneurs connect with the tools they need to be successful,” Swain said. “I’m dedicated to helping them fulfill their dreams and goals, which will help promote economic growth for the whole area.”

Businesses can reach Lauren through the Division’s contact page. After that she is flexible on where, when and how to meet.

“We can get together at their business, the library in their town or at a local coffee shop – whatever works best,” said Swain.

Swain also previously worked at Bayhealth in Dover and holds a bachelor’s degree from Wilmington University.
