DESCRIPTION:This instructor-based training will present information on
  how communities can plan for economic recovery after a\ndisaster. The
  course will introduce lessons learned from recent disasters and will 
 provide an overview of currently\navailable resources and tools for di
 saster planning. The workshop will provide training consisting of plan
 ning\ntools and resources for the community to conduct disaster financ
 ial planning for pre-and post-disaster financial\nrecovery. The curric
 ulum will include opportunities to develop stronger partnerships betwe
 en community actors\,\nprovide checklist based resources for use in a 
 pre- and post-disaster environment\, and best practices for utilizing\
 navailable resources.\nSome of the areas covered in the course include
  developing pre-disaster plans for financial literacy\, understanding\
 ndisaster assistance programs that are available to businesses\, the i
 mportance of business continuity planning\,\nand understanding a busin
