This class is for those planning to be internal auditors for their organization or planning to conduct audits of external organizations, such as suppliers. This includes techniques and traits to be used by successful internal auditors to complete the required internal audits within a company. The four phases of an internal audit will be reviewed and discussed, with workshop and case study practice sessions. Participants will leave ready to conduct audits. Participants may submit copies of their first audit for review to receive a certificate of competency from the DEMEP.

The course begins with a brief review of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and concepts, with an eye to becoming an auditor. Emphasis will be placed on successful internal audits, including looking for conformance and building an improvement culture in the organization.
