About this Organization

Georgetown (pop. 7,300) is the Sussex County seat and home to a business park, airport and numerous small businesses clustered around the city's quaint downtown green. Agriculture and aircraft maintenance and modification company ALOFT AeroArchitects are among the area's largest employers. Its downtown is designated a Downtown Development District.


Programs

Any projects reviewed by the town manager and the town engineer that are found to be in compliance with all city codes will be granted accelerated approval
All businesses making improvements will receive a reduction of building permit fees based on the value of the improvement
A 5 year waiver of the city business license fee for the first five years after the establishment of a new business.
A 20% water and sewer impact fee waiver for all commercial projects
A grant available via an application process to assist businesses with the expenses of improving or renovating a storefront facade, sign, or awning
