The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is an executive agency headed by a cabinet secretary appointed by the governor. DelDOT is responsible for all transportation services and transportation infrastructure construction, repair, and maintenance in the state. The department works to ensure safe and efficient travel and transportation for people and commerce and to protect transportation access and financial efficiency while also minimizing environmental impact. DelDOT also supports small businesses by ensuring non-discrimination and equal opportunity contracting for construction and renovation projects that receive federal funding
