More information on the state's response to COVID-19's impact on small businesses More Info
As the Division of Small Business, along with Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long and the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, listened to business owner feedback during 11 virtual town halls in late April and early May, one of the takeaways was that businesses are worried about customers feeling comfortable coming into their establishments.
DSB looked for a way that businesses could provide customers with an additional level of confidence. Based on the general guidelines for all businesses in the Phase 1 guidance released on May 15, the Division of Small Business along with the Division of Public Health developed the COVID-19 Customer Protection Standards.
Businesses following the Standards can get a free front adhesive window sticker (click here to view) to put at their front entrance – one per location – as a way to show customers that they are working to follow the State’s safety guidelines.
The COVID-19 Customer Protection Standards is a voluntary, self-reporting program. Limitations apply. See below for how to participate and what business owners will need to send to email@example.com to get the cling.

Put all 10 of the requirements in place at all of your business’s locations
Check the boxes, email DSB a scan or photo (with business name & address)
Keep an eye on the mail for a window cling to put up at your business
**If your business has multiple locations, and you have put the COVID-19 Customer Protection Standards in place at each of them, please note that in your email. This way the Division can send you the appropriate number of clings.**
