About this Organization

True Access Capital is a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution and a Certified Development Company that supports existing and aspiring small businesses, microbusinesses, and community development projects throughout Delaware. The mission of TAC is to empower and elevate business owners and entrepreneurs by augmenting technical expertise, increasing access to capital and stimulating business growth throughout Delaware and in southeastern Pennsylvania.


Programs

This lending program assists businesses who have insufficient collateral and/or equity with loans from $5,000-$50,000 for equipment, inventory, real estate, or working capital
Business Saver Program matches savings at a 2:1 ratio, requiring participants to maintain a monthly commitment of savings and receive technical assistance, to create a business plan
The technical training, business mentoring, and access to capital offered provide equitable entry into entrepreneurship for Hispanic-owned businesses
This lending program assists start-up or early-stage businesses who have insufficient collateral and/or equity with loans from $300-$1,500 for equipment, inventory, real estate, or working capital
The Retail Assistance Program (RAP) is designed to help alleviate some of the risks associated with starting or expanding retail and food service businesses by providing data and information specific to retail trade
First State CLF provides small business loans ranging from $5,000 to $250,000, as well as, community development loans reaching up to $500,000. These loans can be used for most business purposes, including working capital, inventory and equipment
Provides clients with support in preparing applications for grants and loans, business planning, and other services as needed
West Side Corridor Revitalization Fund grant program offers up to $10,000 each for eligible small business owners and developers whose projects contribute to Wilmington’s West Side community's economic revitalization. Eligible applicants include small businesses, landlords, and developers with properties or businesses located between I-95/Jackson Street to Union Street (east to west), and 7th Street to Lancaster Avenue (north to south).
The center provides business services to women entrepreneurs, such as training (that includes courses on business plans, business financing, social media, and marketing analysis) and mentoring by existing women business owners
