Overseen by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the EDA focuses exclusively on economic development efforts, especially in economically distressed areas in the United States. With six regional offices that span over the entire country, the EDA specializes in working alongside local economic development officials to make grant investments, as well as create programs that support innovation and entrepreneurship. The EDA provides businesses with the tools and resources they need to compete in both domestic and international markets

Economic Adjustment Assistance (EAA) Program

The EAA program provides revolving loan funds (RLFs) to help small businesses maintain funding in regions experiencing economic hardships

i6 Challenge

Designed to increase entrepreneurship in the technology fields, the i6 Challenge provides the winners with funding that can be used for personnel, program development and equipment.

Regional Innovation Strategies (RIS) Program

The RIS Program helps early stage businesses with commercialization assistance and operation support services in the technology sector.

Seed Fund Support (SFS) Grant Competition

The SFS Grant Competition provides funding for technical assistance and operational costs to innovation-based startups.

Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms (TAAF)

TAAF helps import-impacted manufacturing and production firms implement projects and obtain technical assistance to compete globally.
