Delaware has so many great coffee shops, where the atmosphere is as inviting as the coffee.
If you run a coffee shop, or are thinking of starting one, you might want to check out a recent blog post by Biz2Credit, an online platform for small business loans.
The post offers a number of suggestions on how to get customers to check out your coffee shop and keep them coming back.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Make sure your shop has an online presence including an up-to-date Google My Business listing with your phone number, address, business hours and photos. For more on how to claim your Google My Business listing, check out this workshop the Division of Small Business held earlier this year.
- Make sure you have a presence on Instagram and Facebook, posting photos and responding to customer questions and comments in a timely manner.
- Offer free Wi-Fi. Customers expect it. (Although the downside is that some folks could buy a single cup of coffee and camp out for hours)
- Put a dog dish of fresh water outside your shop. You’ll get the gratitude of passing dog owners, who may stop in for some refreshment of their own.
