Reports to: Andrea Wojcik, Director of Communications
Location: Dover, DE (in-person)
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the development and scheduling of social media content to promote Division programs, initiatives, events, and success stories.
• Support the creation of marketing and communications materials, including newsletters, press releases, flyers, presentations, and website content.
• Help capture and organize photos, videos, and testimonials from small business events, grant recipients, and community partners.
• Provide administrative and project support to the Marketing and Communications team.
Qualifications:
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic analytics
• Creative mindset
• Interest in business, economic development or marketing
• Experience with social media editing tools, such as Capcut
• Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus
• Able to interact and communicate professionally with small business owners to obtain content and information
Internship Details:
• Up to 29 hours per week, flexible around academic schedules
• Paid hourly (rate is $20/hr)
• Internship runs from June – August
• Interns must be available to work in-person at the Dover office
• Reliable transportation is required
