About this Organization

The Delaware Department of Labor is an executive department headed by a cabinet secretary appointed by the governor. The department is responsible for protecting Delaware's workforce and ensuring justice in the workplace to promote a strong economy. The department assists with connecting people to jobs, resources, and labor market information.


Programs

A tax deduction available to businesses who update their infrastructure or transportation vehicles to remove barriers
A tax credit available for small businesses to assist with offsetting the costs incurred by becoming ADA compliant
Provides businesses with on-site trainers to assist with on the job training of new employees at no cost to the employer
A partial salary reimbursement to assist employers by partially offsetting the cost of hiring and training a new employee
A jobs program that awards grants to non-profit organizations to hire Delaware youth from economically disadvantaged households for summer time employment
A tax credit designed to incentivize employers to hire long-term welfare recipients
