About this Organization

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) is an executive agency headed by a cabinet secretary appointed by the governor. DNREC is responsible for protecting and maintaining the state's natural resources as well as promoting public health and safety and providing recreational services and spaces throughout the state. DNREC also promotes statewide conservation and sustainability efforts.

Programs

Dairy Loan Program

A program funded by the State Revolving Fund Agricultural Nonpoint Source to assist dairy farmers in implementing environmentally friendly farm management practices

Delaware Clean Energy Technology and Demonstration Program

Provides grants to fund projects that display market potential for green energy technologies and assists in accelerating commercialization of the technology

Delaware Clean Vehicle Rebate Program

Incentivizes Delaware businesses to lease or purchase new alternative fuel vehicles

Delaware Electric Vehicle Charging Program

A tax incentive geared towards encouraging Delaware businesses to purchase electric vehicles to promote environmentally friendly and energy efficient transportation for the businesses travel needs

Delaware Green Energy Research and Development Program

An incentive to pursue projects that promote the development or improvement of green energy technologies and/or initiatives in the state

Delaware Heavy Duty Vehicle Rebate Program

Provides assistance to businesses purchasing heavy duty vehicles

Green Infrastructure Reserve

A fund which provides loans at below market interest rates to companies to fund green infrastructure projects

Poultry Loan Program

A program funded by the State Revolving Fund Agricultural Nonpoint Source to assist poultry

Small Business Assistance Program

Provides guidance and assistance for small businesses on how to comply with environmental regulations. Assists with filling out permit applications and other necessary environmental regulation compliance paperwork
