About this Organization

The DDP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the maintenance and progress of the Historic Downtown Dover Business District. The DDP works with the National Trust for Historic Preservations National Main Street Center and the Downtown Delaware Main Street Initiative to produce a variety of programs that aim to improve the area. With a goal to drive business and job opportunities, the DDP supports businesses in the area.


Programs

Reimbursement available up to $5,000 for architectural services required for new or expanding businesses, 100% on the first $1,000 and 50% on the next $4,000.
The Committee assists small businesses in the area by marketing existing property, offering incentive packages for redevelopment to bring in new development, and implementing a business recruitment plan
Improvements to the sides of buildings in the downtown visible from the street can receive up to $5,000 for up to 50% of eligible expenses.
